As you may have noticed mikewgd.net has become mikewgd.com. Successfully! So, please update your bookmarks as nothing will be on mikewgd.net anymore.

I will be coming up with a new design shortly and Amodesigns.net is almost completed! So, stay tuned for that!

I will also be posting a list of all my favorites (great resources for any designer/developer). Also, I will start rearranging elements on here. Making sections more accessible and just do some overall cleaning.

Its been a loooooooooong time since I have blogged. I decided to remake this theme and jazz it up a little. More things are in the works. I will be adding some more work I have done and etc…

http://colorhunter.com — A great resource for finding color palettes. This tool allows you to upload an image and the website will give you a color scheme for that picture.

http://psdtuts.com — Has many cool and interesting tutorials for photoshop.

http://www.brusheezy.com/, http://inobscuro.com/brushes/, http://www.hybrid-genesis.com/ — All are great resources for brushes. Brusheezy especially has a lot of brushes and the search feature is amazing!

Getting Help

http://www.webdevforums.com — We all need some help with designing, and the people at this forum are a huge help. Its a bunch of regular people like you or I, and have great answers and its . . . just amazing! Its a really excellent forum and I would recommend anyone going to visit and registering.

http://www.webdesignforums.net — Another great resource to help out coders and designers. Both of these links are definitely a must to have!

http://www.alistapart.com — Im sure you all know about A List Apart, but it is definitely a great resource for any designer. Has great solutions to many web problems. I recommend checking it out!

http://www.webdesignerwall.com — I must go to this website 10 times a day! They have a bountiful amount of tutorials on CSS, Javascript, Graphic Design and WordPress. It is created and maintained by Nick La, whom is a brillant designer. If your looking into making your own theme for WordPress – I would look at his tutorial, it is details and precise!

As you may have already noticed I have made a new theme! Being a designer you are constantly never satisfied when you design something for yourself. However I love this layout and it is usually not my style, but I decided to do something different this time. All of the content is up for the Portfolio section so please feel free to browse. The layout came out exactly how I wanted it to May not view correctly on all browsers. So, I suggest you download FireFox. I would like to thank Nick La over at Web Designer Wall for his excellent tutorials on WordPress Themes.

Hello all!

I just wanted to let you all know about this great tool I found. As you know MACs do not have Internet Explorer, unfortunately Being that it is a very well used browser.

However there are great tools that can help you with this solution: 1) browsershots 2) the one that I recommend, IE NetRenderer. I am sure there are more, but this one is specifically for Internet Explorer and the load time is a lot faster.
